Beranda 2760
- NYC skyline north from 42nd Street
Sunset soon over Manhattan, view from 20th floor apartment in Hells Kitchen. Surprisingly easy access into NYC on a lazy summer weekend. - Numismatic Museum Café
Relaxed jazz with Trevor-Cheimarios-Koromilas Trio in elegant cafe setting. Repertoire creatively covers familiar American standards usually performed without vocalist. General strike today closed metro, so crowds deterred from overwhelming the 8-table venue. Ride into town on motorcycle tonight to just north of Syntagma Square faced less traffic than yesterday. (Numismatic Museum Café, Athens, Greece) 20151112 - Noryangjin Seafood Market
On open public space on 5th floor, #YiChangSub (2015) Full of Blue Light is polycarbonate little fish on a stee frame outlining a whale. Sculpture celebrates the 2000 employees and mechants in the building below. Mid-morning walk saw retail section in the east part and the wholesalers in the west part, but it was too early for most restaurants to be open. (Noryangjin Seafood Market, Dongjak-gu, Seoul, South Korea) 20230927 - North Vancouver cafeteria view
View of Vancouver skyline across the Burrard Inlet, from cafeteria of North Vancouver office. The man-made scenery looking south isn't the same as the natural glory of mountains looking north. Still, the harbour view is a better than average fringe benefit of west coast work. (North Vancouver) 20111013 1142 - North Market Square
Saturday family lunch, with leftovers to take home. Time squeezed between 5K run in morning, and art class in the afternoon, around university final exam schedule. Spring weather now holding constant. (North Market Square, E. College Street, Iowa City, Iowa) 20160507 - Noodle shop near Future City, Wuchang
Simple lunch of wheat noodles, chilis and mock duck at local kitchen specializing in only that. Recommended by SN as a place she frequents, weekday midday not as busy as later, when there are lineups. I had a slight coughing fit as the chilis hit the back of my throat. (Noodle shop, Future City, Wuchang, Wuhan, China) 20150316 - No parking mural
Pedestrian Sunday buskers in Kensington Market cause bike dismount in front of mural with dogs playing cards. Real dogs in yard next to garage. - Niven's
From online The Ecology of Systems Thinking group to meeting in person, PJ came for a coffee, talking while watching me eat a full English breakfast. Worked through jams of orange marmalade vanilla, raspberry rose, blood orange marmalade, pear. Discussed history of science within the systems thinking community and the variety of notable figures, up to current day theoreticians and practitioners. (Niven's, King Cross Road, London, England) 20161206 - Nippori Zakuro
Uzbeki food expected from online reviews, sitting on the floor and eating from dishes served on low table was not. Well prepared food was enjoyed, unlimited quantity lunch wasn't tested. Waitress accommodated requests to avoid dairy ingredients. Welcome surprise of Oriental, not Asian cuisine, in Tokyo. (Zakuro. Nippori Village, Tokyo, Japan) 20170325 - NIO
Silicon Valley tech experience tour at NIO USA, in front of the mural when the NextEV building was opened by the Governor of California. Lots of engineering talk about technology directions and different strategies. Enjoyed Cantonese and vegan curry lunches, plus ping pong upstairs. (NIO USA, North 1st Street, North San Jose, California) 20170313 - Nino D'Aversa
Racks of bread less busy than larger hot table buffet and espresso bar care areas. This brand is delivered to our local grocery store downtown, but the selection isn't always there. Took home a loaf of ciabatta unsliced to judge freshness. Was in the neighbourhood, so a modest tour of cuisine nearby. (Nino D'Aversa Bakery, Glen Cameron Drive, Thornhill, Ontario) 20160128 - NIDOs BackYard
After ordering a beer and a horchata (yellow with tumeric) from the bar, the Tostadas de Atun came as expected, while the Aguachilde de Negro de Pescado con Chiltepin was a surprise -- served in a bowl with a spoon, and tortilla chips on the side. We were laughing as the waiter capturing the photo was dodging a fern moving with the slow breeze. Sunny, but not warm enough to be wearing shorts. (NIDOs BackYard, Oak Street, Oakland, California) 20220428 - Niagara Falls from the Rainbow Bridge
On a summer Friday morning, the Rainbow Bridge border crossing was the quickest, not to mention most scenic, way into the U.S. DY driving, so passenger shot out window while moving - Niagara Falls from Rainbow Bridge
On drive to NYC, stopped for hour walk through Niagara State Park. Oldest park on the U.S., quiet on a March Friday. First time to see falls on the American side, we have seen the more commercial Canadian side frequently. (Rainbow Bridge, Niagara Falls, NY) 20150321 - Nhà hàng Việt Phố
Travellers arriving an extra day before the nuptial celebration were invited to join for dinner. Guests from Toronto, California and other cities in Vietnam introduced themselves in the noisy restaurant. Photograph only captures about two-thirds of the length of the long table. (Nhà hàng Việt Phố, Võ Thị Sáu, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam) 20231005
