Stylistic interpretation in Wuhan, of a sinicized name given by professor in Shanghai. The studio is a quiet oasis at the university, in a city where the disorder and noise of China can be exhausting. Informal tea led to exercise of writing my Chinese name in a variety of styles. In central China, Mandarin speakers seem more comfortable formally addressing me as Wu, rather than the anglicization of Ing derived from the Cantonese Ng. Shrine Peace Memorial presented in 1930 to Canada by Shriners, with 1958 surrounding fountain and gardens created by Toronto Parks Department. Faces Lake Shore Boulevard, southeast of the Bandshell and southwest of the Better Living Centre. I've been going to the CNE since the 1960s, and this fountain was never on the route between sights. The Shell Tower is in the background. CNE is only really active in the last 2 weeks of August. Four times normal life size @DougCoupland (2009) Tom Thomson's Canoe is at southwest corner of park, elevated above the height of the elevated Gardiner Expressway to the south. The bright red sculpture outer structure rests on concrete, made of steel and resin sufficiently durable for children to climb on top. Powershot camera needs repair, discovered service depot is also a major factory sales outlet for refurbished Sony, Samsung and Miele brands. They repair Canon cameras, but don't sell them there.
