- Harry Gairey Rink
Parents giving children a feel of the ice with skate helper training aids, an improvement over pushing a chair around. Slower movement on the pleasure pad to the south, faster circuits on the hockey pad to the north. Artificial ice solidified with temperatures below freezing overnight, streets otherwise clear of snow. (Harry Gairey Rink, Alexandra Park, Bathurst Street, Toronto, Ontario) 20201205 - Hart House
Map Room is a shady lounge, a rest stop on the way back from bicycling across the city, on a hot summer Sunday. An convenient destination for an alumnus, I didn't hang out here when I was a student, because I lived so close to campus. Teens playing sports on the fields outside. (Hart House, University of Toronto) 20180715 - HAT Luncheon

Stacks of colourful blueberry transport crates on a rainy day, with windmill electricity generators in the background. Hand pump fire engine @HaywardAreaHist made circa 1825, used in San Francisco 1849-1870, and then in Hayward until the mid-1880s. Part of the collection of local history, including an exhibit on internment of Japanese Americans in WWII, and the subsequent return of their property. Encountered museum sign downtown, after the GPS decided that I should leave the freeway and drive city streets. (Hayward Area Historical Society Museum of History & Culture, Foothill Boulevard, Hayward, California) 20170315 - Hazelton Stage
Moody @TorontoJazzFest @mtwstevens trio musicianship extended sometimes by programmed loops and electronic effects. Live performance with band members attentive to each other on original compositions. Noted that the guitarist bandleader chooses to play from stage right, not the center. (Toronto Jazz Festival, Hazelton Avenue Stage, Yorkville, Toronto, Ontario) 20170629 - Heartland
Halftime show is highlight for non-fans of professional sports, with an ex-varsity football player providing commentary this year. Noticed Mark Wallinger (2013) Labyrinth 269/270 on the wall beside the first ticket machine that a traveller would encounter entering the Piccadilly line from Heathrow Airport Terminals 1, 2 and 3. One of the unique 270 works in vitreous enamel, black lines with a red X to cue the pathway. Commissioned for the 150th anniversary of the London Underground. I hadn't paid attention on prior trips to London, but I forgot my Oyster card at home, and thus purchased and got a refund on another for the 2 day visit. (Heathrow Terminal 1-2-3 Underground station, London, UK) 20171208 - Heilige Geestcollege
