- Matty Eckler Rec Centre
Cast ballot in advance poll for municipal election. Second of four days, before official voting day in 11 days. Convinced I'm not going to change my mind, no line-up and three marks on a long sheet of paper took 2 minutes. (Matty Eckler Recreation Centre, Gerrard Street East, Toronto, Ontario) 20181011 - Sumac Creek Health Centre
Portrait in @BennyBing series @TheDanielsCorp Regent Park Rotating Gallery for March, on the walls by doctors' offices and treatment rooms. In regular office hours, are only the sick, injured, and medical professionals privileged to view the collection? Appreciating art as therapy in addition to other healing services. (Sumac Creek Health Centre, Regent Park Boulevard, Toronto, Ontario) 20130312 - St. Michael's Hospital
Referred to emergency room by family practice urgent care clinic earlier in the morning. Left with immobilizing boot, and appointment tomorrow for ultrasound and then orthopedic clinic. Had deferred reality of injury for family holiday time, hospital had been operating on skeleton staff anyway. Unusually rainy day in Las Vegas, lightning had been striking ground at a distance. Morning flight delayed into afternoon. Continuing hop back to the Bay Area, will still change beds a few more times before going home. - Lawn mushroom top
Is this mushroom edible? Overnight, mushroom sprung up in back yard in east end Brussels. Newlywed bride could serve mushroom in spaghetti sauce tomorrow night, but we wouldn't want a tragic ending. (Woluwe St. Pierre, Belgium) 20150925 - HarbourfrontCentre TaiwanFest
Neo-psychedelic indie rock @EchoBand Echo announced songs in Mandarin, and had audience dancing in their seats. Detailed instructions of directions for hands, up, down, left, right. Much of the audience wouldn't understand the lyrics, but music plus demonstrations are a universal language. Taiwan Fest also had The Art of Seating, Pan-Asian Culinary Competition, and the Holy Sheep from LunarFest. (Harbourfront Centre, Toronto) 20150829 - Beaches Jazz Festival workshop, Michael Occhipinti and Pilar
Workshop on "Turning Pop and World Roots Music into Jazz" in the basement of the Mennonite New Life Centre of Toronto on Queen Street East. 20150721 - Real cattails, bronze birds
Ontario Travel Centre at Sarnia is a convenient rest stop before crossing into Port Huron. American border guard confiscated Canadian grape tomatoes - Fountains at U. Warwick

- Container cranes, Port of Vancouver
Eastward view from Seabus headed south to Vancouver. Illustrates city as a working port on the Pacific Rim. Ferry route uses Port as landmark, then turns slightly west for Waterfront Station. Rainy morning had short respite before participation continued for rest of day. (Vancouver, B.C.) 20111121 1054 - Toronto Necropolis Mary Watson 1869
Grave marker for Mary Watson, died 1869 at age 6 years, 11 months. The oldest legible date that I saw at Toronto Necropolis, originally opened in 1850. A tranquil spot in today's downtown Toronto that would have been far from the harbour so many years ago. Northeast of Wellesley Street and Parliament Street (Toronto) 20110811 18:05
