- Laneway between Booth Avenue and Logan Avenue, Queen Street East and Eastern Avenue
Wire hanging dangerous low. Phoned @311Toronto, they said call @Bell_Support, who said the fastest they can send someone is tomorrow. Hung a white plastic bag on the hazard, so it doesn't choke a bicyclist (like me). (Riverside District, Toronto) 20160901 - Lane South Queen East Knox
Wrought iron sign of Ye Olde Blacksmith Shoppe has entry fence locked up, with shell of a building to the south. This laneway seems to be one of many in Toronto yet to be named, running dead end into TTC Russell Carhouse at Connaught Street first established in 1916. Entry to the building northbound from Minto Street is obstructed by a prominent fire hydrant. (Lane South Queen East Knox, Leslieville, Toronto, Ontario) 20200923 - Lane S College E Euclid
Late afternoon #LightUptheLaneways @lanewayproject @StART_Toronto unveiling of murals on garage doors by local street artists. Painters started in morning, some still in progress on larger surfaces. Discovered this laneway doesn't yet have a distinctive name, an opportunity for the motivated. (Lane South College East Euclid (south of College Street, between Euclid Street northbound and Palmerston Street southbound) Little Italy, Toronto, Ontario) 2018096 - Landlocked green space
Discovered Cairns Avenue Parkette, a filled-in ravine where Cairns Creek used to flow south into Small's Pond before 1935. Surrounded by back yards of houses, it's a ditch with higher grassy areas enjoyed by dogs and their walkers. Entrance on the west side, no exit any other direction. Historical research explains the strange routing of roads in east end Toronto. (Highcroft Road, Upper Beaches, East Toronto) 20150809. "A brief history of Small's Pond, used then abused" | Chris Bateman | April 21, 2014 | BlogTO at www.blogto.com/city/2012/04/a_brief_history_of_smalls_pon... - Lambert Lounge
Conversation for Possibilities theme hosted by @redesign saying farewell after 15 years of mostly-monthly sessions. Strong turnout, with participants having attended since 2008, to someone coming for the first time. Sticky notes posted on flip charts on the wall, in response to questions about what was learned, and value of semi-structured dialogue. (Lambert Lounge, OCAD University, McCaul Street, Toronto, Ontario) 20221129 - Lambert Lounge
After first round with #DesignWithDialogue question, @redesign suggested getting up to stretch. Led to @playthink capturing proceedings on wall poster sheet, while participants wandered around room thinking about questions related to question by #HumbertoMaturana about How We Live Together. First in-person meeting since January 2020, next month may schedule not on Wednesdays, anticipating some other past regular attendees. (Lambert Lounge, OCADU, McCaul Street, Toronto) 20230517 - Lambert Lounge

Hosting @mikewittenstein in the multicultural Toronto experience with Ethiopian dinner, eating with our hands. Restaurant reservation was miscommunicated, manager graciously asked other customers to shift to accommodate our group. Our sons might not remember the time we visited Mike in Atlanta, as they were children en route to Disney World. (Lalibela Cuisine, Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario) 20190615 - Lalibela
Ethiopian lunch means eating without cutlery, and using fingers. Relaxed Saturday family gathering, relaxing and catching up on everyone's work week. The grilled tibs are always memorable. Breaking up whole grilled fish with bare hands gives a caveman feel. (Lalibela, Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario) 20190209 - Lalibela
Had turkey a few weekends ago, so Thanksgiving of Ethiopian cuisine an unusual choice as dairy-free, and the teff in injera is gluten-free. Combined with AKY's birthday falling on same day, another way to celebrate as a family. Front window still open with fall relatively warm. (Lalibela, Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario) 20171009 - Lalibela
Birthday on Thanksgiving with out-of-town visitor had AKY celebrating with friends dining on Ethiopian cuisine. Tight schedule, so their quartet ordered before our family arrived. (Lalibela, Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario) 20171009 - Lalibela
Ethiopian injera on platter with veggies, then grilled beef and lamb on top, and two deep fried fish on the side. No cutlery, this Mother's Day dinner was eaten with our fingers. Confirmed that the meal was gluten-free, the injera is made from teff. (Lalibela, Danforth Avenue, Toronto, Ontario) 20170514 - Lakeview Park
Bright Saturday day trip westbound, as opportunity for outdoor date with social distancing. Sunflowers were planted in rows, by developers as phytoremediators to purify the soil by absorbing toxins. Site of Lakeview Generating Station, demolished in 2007. (Lakeview Park, Lakefront Promenade, Mississauga, Ontario) 20200912 - Lakeshore Boulevard East at Bouchette Street
Looking west from the south curb, the surface of the ramps have been removed, leading nowhere up to an elevated road that has been removed and crushed. Surface traffic appears unimpeded, with daylight a welcome change to the prior shadows under the Gardiner Expressway extension. In the distance, the CN Tower is clearly visible towards the west waterfront. (Lakeshore Boulevard East at Bouchette Street, Toronto, Ontario) 20210921
