- EditDX
Good design @alicerawsthorn @EditDX has usefulness, beauty and integrity in light of sustainable development goals (unlike 1969 Olivetti Valentina typewriter in museums). Design is an agent of change that can help us to make sense of what is happening, and to turn it to our advantage ... if society allows it to do so. Digest at ingbrief.wordpress.com/2017/10/08/20171008-1310-alice-raw... (EditDX, 21 Don Roadway, East Harbour, Toronto, Ontario) 20171008 - Lake Mead

(Air Canada flight 1851, over Lake Mead National Recreation Area) 20160221 - Hesperia Park
Steps up to viewpoint just north of Finlandia Hall not cleared of snow, yet still a better pedestrian option than sliding on the granite face. (Hesperian Puisto, Helsinki, Finland) 20150215 - Toronto Beaches boardwalk

At the Libbey Factory Outlet in Toledo, appreciating the large variety of shapes for drinking glasses. We prefer shapes that fit the hand, but can they also be modern? - Mondriaanhuis
Pieter Mondriaan became Piet Mondrian after moving to Paris in 1911, we learned from a museum at his place of birth. Collection is long on history, showing early paintings and works by later artists obviously influenced. Pierre, Bee and I coordinated to meet with Sjon, who lives in Amersfoort, to discuss systems research. A short day trip to a an orderly town, in the country east of Belgium. (Mondriaanhuis, Kortegracht, Amersfoort, Netherlands) 20161127 - Radcliffe Observatory, Green Templeton College

Archive of technologies getting smaller and smaller. My career was associated with the advances of microprocessors, so I lived through much of the history described at this venue. (Intel Museum, Mission College Boulevard, Santa Clara, California) 20170320 - Hoang Anh
Slight diversion into Quad Cities for Asian supermarket revealed well stocked inventory for Viet, Chinese and Thai cuisine. Staff filling orders suggests wholesale fulfillment to local restaurants could be the larger part of the business. Location is well off the beaten path on a small main street in East Moline, a long way from freeways. (Hoang Ahn Foods, 15th Avenue, East Moline, Illinois) 20161214 - Rainy Vancouver waypoint
Direct SanFran-Toronto flight cancelled, so earlier flight via Vancouver makes up some time. Luggage missing, should eventually be delivered to house. Domestic security inspected zhong rice dumpling wrapped in banana leaves, recognised by ethnic Chinese screener. (Vancouver International Airport, British Columbia) 20151217 - Koffler Gallery
Show+tell @KofflerArts Kimberly Rose, Mona Filip, Sameer Farooq, Jared Stanley, Lisa Ellis on Objects of Affection panel. Response to Esther Shalev-Gerz (2016) The Gold Room exhibition, Mona brought an artifact for interpretation. Museum conservator Lisa spoke of metal composition, poet Jared admired curved edge, visual artist Sameer wondered about users sociopolitically, shaman Kimberly saw it as one in a set of 80-year old culinary utensils. It's a sieve that Mona's great-grandfather tinsmith made that now is a kitchen ornament. (Koffler Gallery, Artscape Youngplace, Toronto, Ontario) 20180603 - Fabian's Cafe
