Old style casual dining has moved north up Pape Avenue. Cooks on open kitchen behind warming trays including specials of the day, in continual Greek conversation. Sunday lunch away from the crowds, and so much food that we took half of it home. Must be a neighbourhood institution, as guests are asked whether they'll be dining in our taking out. (The Greek Grill, East York, Toronto) 20150913 - Automaxx Windsor
Temporary plates installed for a test drive of a 2014 Mazda 5. We said we would drive the 2003 MPV we bought in 2007 until it died. We drove this morning from 14 Mile Road Troy not on freeways down to Detroit at 20-30mph, and through the tunnel back to Windsor. DY still wants a vehicle that will seat 5 to 6 people, so the Mazda 5 is the small alternative to the massive minivan or SUV alternatives. (Automaxx Windsor, Fontainebleau neighbourhood, east Windsor, Ontario) 20160511 - Duo Music Exchange
Piano-driven instrument rock by Schroeder Headz had audience bouncing in time, and waving right hands. Pianist Shunsuke Watanabe had extended pattern between songs, entertaining audience with humour. (Duo Music Exchange, Dogenzaka, Shibuya, Tokyo) 20160311 - Jonathan Ashbridge Park

Ethiopian injera on platter with veggies, then grilled beef and lamb on top, and two deep fried fish on the side. No cutlery, this Mother's Day dinner was eaten with our fingers. Anish Kapoor (1981) "As If To Celebrate, I Discovered A Mountain Blooming With Red Flowers". Located on the granite floor of the Duveen Gallery, the central corridor for the museum. (Duveen Gallery, Tate Britain, Millbank, London) 20161206 - 6th Ave. At 53rd St.
NYC food trucks, customers dining al fresco, street performer fiddling, late afternoon with a March chill.
