Adam ordered 50 piece party platter for three of us, just before kitchen closed. Noble Fish is reputed to be the best sushi around Detroit, and we agree it was great. There's a few tables and a sushi bar at the back of a Japanese grocery store, so a lot of clients prefer takeout. This is walking distance from Adam's place. (Noble Fish, 14 Mile Road, Clawson, Michigan) 20150724 - Sunday morning dim sum
Routing back home, Adam and Ayaka hosted us for brunch at a Chinese restaurant nearby. The popular dim sum selections are available from the pushcarts, and we ordered rice noodles from the kitchen. Clientele was predominantly non-Asian, so some entertainment from first-time diners at the next table. I now have a little headache and a slight feeling of depression, so it's either the warm summer humidity, or the MSG level is higher than back home. (Golden Harvest, Warren, Michigan) 20150802 - Sunday dim sum
Wide variety of standard dishes all arrived on the first cart. Four people isn't quite enough to try everything. (East Ocean Seafood Restaurant, Alameda, California) 20151213 - Summer at 10pm
Thousands hear @jannarden claim @allisoncornell playing with her favourite musician @npstoronto on stage at #panamania. (University of Surrey, Guildford, UK) 20150708 - St. Salvador Cathedral
Song Dong installation @TriennaleBrugge "Wu Wei Er Wei” or “Doing Nothing Doing" is a miniature mountain landscape, made of windows recovered from a demolished neighbourhood in Beijing. (St. Salvador Cathedral, Bruges, West Flanders, Belgium) 20150928 - St. Pancras Station
Christmas tree as tall cone of Disney plush toys, in one of the busier train stations in London. Ringed by retail shops, so maybe travellers aren't too hurried to browse in windows. The date is not yet past American Thanksgiving, but in the UK, perhaps the previous biggest event is Halloween. (St. Pancras Station, London, England) 20151121 - St. Michael's Health Centre
Riding elevator up from the 3rd floor Family Practice Unit up to the 8th floor Eye Clinic. Purposefully double booked appointments, as previous ophthalmologist visits have included dilations before exams, this including wait time for droid to take effect. Bonus, as medical student offered flu shot, saving trip to mass inoculations. When wait times are predictable, van be efficient. (St. Michael's Health Centre, 61 Queen Street East, Toronto) 20151020 - St Pancras Station
Cornelia Parker (2015) Eclipse suspends a negative image of the Dent clock in front of the original. The perspective of dark and light faces changes as pedestrians walk around the station. (St. Pancras station, London, England) 20151121 - Skylight rainbow
Low stress Monday pm departure to Europe, time to admire the small touches that humanise an airport terminal. From what perspective would we have to view a rainbow, to see the other side of the circle arc? (Pearson Airport Terminal 1 departures, Toronto, Ontario) 20151109
