Family of four generations, convening at the resting place of the fifth. Rare occasion to pull in members from Texas, California and Virginia, not to mention all over Toronto. Half of the group continued the conversation started at lunch, at home until after dinner. (Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario) 20170528 - Hazelton Stage
Moody @TorontoJazzFest @mtwstevens trio musicianship extended sometimes by programmed loops and electronic effects. Live performance with band members attentive to each other on original compositions. Noted that the guitarist bandleader chooses to play from stage right, not the center. (Toronto Jazz Festival, Hazelton Avenue Stage, Yorkville, Toronto, Ontario) 20170629 - EdiDX
Wrong theory @sdadich @EditDX is not ignoring the rules, or failing fast. It's making all of the right choices, building consensus to find common values, and then breaking one thing. Otherwise, everything converges to look the same and is boring. www.wired.com/2014/09/wrong-theory/ (EditDX, 21 East Don Roadway, East Harbour, Toronto, Ontario) 20170929 - EditDX

Dinner at dusk by Steveston Fisherman's Wharf. Walked down shoreline to the Britannia Shipyards National Historic Park, observing restorations of buildings of Japanese and Chinese fishing workers back to the 1900s. (Shady Island Seafood, Bayview Street, Steveston Village, Richmond, BC) 20171028 - Guanglan Road
Line 2 train from downtown eastbound requires transfer to 4-car train to complete journey to Pudong Airport. In afternoon rush hour, the smaller train filled quite rapidly, and I hopped on at the last minute while others seemed to prefer waiting for the next train with seats available. Not as glamourous as the Maglev express, but the local transfer requires only crossing a platform, rather than exiting through gates and re-entering.
