- New Hopper Hut
Puzzling through Sri Lankan menu after planned Malaysian restaurant found closed. Ordered chicken lampries, served paper bag which enclosed banana leaf, then boiled egg, rice, anchovies inside. Invited for holiday season hotpot with my father's friend's family. One pot cooking meat, with the other pot vegan, as I wasn't the only plant-based diner at the table. Convening family from Montreal, they reported travel past vehicles still in the ditch on the 401, from recent inclement weather. (Upper Cornell, Markham, Ontaro) 20221229 - Sake bar

Delivery of new double bed for the new year, ordered online on Boxing Day sale. Had previously tried out store model in person, referred by salesman towards a firm old-style bed like they used to make. Not a fan of the pillow top style that we had brought down from Gravenhurst in 2019, when we were closing out the store. (Riverside neighbourhood, Toronto, Ontario) 20230104 - Scarborough Health Network, Centenary Hospital
The first day recovering from surgery for my father, vital signs all look fine. We expect to visiting this semi-private room daily until he's well enough to return home.
